Indiana Jones 5 CD Film Score Box Set From Disney Music Emporium $150 Bucks?

It is likely not the case, but I thought I would check to see if the price given of $149.99 is a pricing error?

This is 5 CDs, which means they are $30 each? While the Dial of Destiny CD by itself was 12 dollars (but does not appear to be available any longer)?

This can't be right. I purchased the prior release of all the Indiana Jones soundtracks (at the time) from Concord records. It was like $65 for 5 CDs (one for each movie plus a bonus disc).

It seems as if this is at least double what it should cost. These aren't 2-discs sets (total 10 CDs) right? That would make more sense.

I'd like to buy this, but I do not like the price. I realize it is a limited edition. I am familiar with limited edition soundtrack CDs. They usually go for $20 for one CD and $30 for a 2 CD set. Which is why I asked if these are 2 CDs for each movie. But that does not appear to be the case.

Can you provide any additional information that might be useful? WHY does this cost $149.99?

Thank you.

The Disney Music Emporium's Reply...

A commenter on the Film Music Reporter website writes, "So, first, Disney created an artificial shortage with a limited release for the last film to later force fans to buy an over-expensive box set that doesn’t contain the extra-disc with a good part of the previous scores! What a scam".

Yeah, that sounds accurate to me. I'd like to buy this, but not at Disney's overinflated price of $150. It should be HALF that. I'll stick with the 2008 Concord Box Set.

Someone on jwfan.com writes, "50$ would be an appropriate price ... But 150$ is just greedy and unethical. Shame on Disney. Really". Another person writes, "The price is awful. It has nothing to do with being able to afford it either. It's simply overpriced".

I agree completely.

After checking I see that the track listing for the first 4 films on the Disney Box Set and the 2008 Concord Box set are exactly the same. The Dial of Destiny didn't exist when the Concord Box was issued.

The material on disc 5 of the Concord release is absent from the Disney reissue.

Disc 5: Interviews and More Music from Indiana Jones. Total Disc Time: 51:51
01. Raiders March from Raiders of the Lost Ark 2:28.
02. Interviews with John Williams, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, Hosted by Laurent Bouzereau 17:56.
Raiders of the Lost Ark. Track 3
03. Uncovering the Ark ** 05:30.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Tracks 4-5
04. Indy and the Villagers * 3:51.
05. The Secret Passage * 03:28.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Tracks 6-11
06. Father's Study * 2:25.
07. Marcus Is Captured, To Berlin * 1:53.
08. To the Blimp * 2:01.
09. The Blimp Turns Around 1:27.
10. Death of Kazim * (02:24.
11. Wrong Choice, Right Choice * 4:34.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Track 12
12. Return to the Village/Raiders March * 3:26.
*Previously unreleased.
**Includes previously unreleased material.

As per a comment on Reddit, "It is very disingenuous to call this complete when it doesn't include the bonus tracks from the 2008 collection. Cues like "Wrong Choice, Right Choice" and "Father's Study" are pretty vital. Feels like a very low effort reissue".

There Are NO Copyright Violations On This Blog!

I am under attack by an angry A-Hole bent on taking down evey one of my blogs. Recently this person disclosed how he is going after this blog. Via the completely false allegation of "copyright violations".

Apparently Google is fine with these false allegations, as they have (as of today) taken down 3 of my blogs! What the hell, Google? Why are you enabling this harassment?

Here the liar repeats the false allegations on his WordPress blog.

I've been engaging in unauthorized sales of copyrighted materials? I will likely be caught red handed?

No, moron, I am not breaking any law by selling music CDs on this blog. As per Brookings, "when you purchase a lawfully produced music CD, you are entitled under U.S. copyright law to sell or otherwise dispose of it without seeking permission from the copyright holders".

No doubt this ID1OT has reported to Google these crimes he is imagining, however. And Google MIGHT listen and delete this blog too. Because these "copyright violations" he alleges are as bogus as the allegations he used to take down my other blogs. In regards to those blogs, Google says I violated their HATE policy. But I did not.

I am NOT a hater, Google. I didn't violate your HATE policy. I want my blogs back. And I want you to stop ASSISTING this person in their harassment of me!

btw, in the comment above the false accuser says his WordPress blog was hacked and that is how fake comments from me appeared on his WordPress blog. That is what touched this off back in September of 2018. He faked comments from me on WordPress and I filed a complaint. WordPress decided to remove several of his blogs, which I had no idea they would do. That is why he is so mad and has spent 5+ years attempting to exact revenge.

His account was not hacked. I know this because (in the comments he faked) he had me saying stupid things that HE would write. Not some "hacker". He wrote (in one comment that looked like I made it) that I am married to my dog. So stupid. But this person is stupid. How I KNOW he wrote the fake comments that got him in trouble.

The bottom line is that this person is a liar. He lies about his WordPress blog being hacked (in 2018) and he lies about me posting hate on the three Blogger Blogs that he reported (and Google removed for bogus reasons). So far. I would not be surprised at all if ALL my blogs end up getting deleted by Google.
